I've created this as a holding area for items that get to Resolved prior to a beta release.

This addresses a problem where an included spreadsheet was being flagged by anti-virus software.

This release improves the compatability of HRD Logbook in multicasting scenarios where other programs like JTAlert and Grid Tracker may be used in addition to HRD Alert... in obtaining decode data and/or QSO data from WSJT-X.

This is a maintenance release completed ahead of work progressing on v6.9. The primary intention of this release is to revise the Clublog URL so that it matches changes made at Clublog as of 30-December 2022.

Maintenance release that resolves a minor issue with printing address labels.

This is a maintenance release that resolves items related to populating solar data into QSOs and grid squares when QSO Forwarding is used.

Minor maintenance release to resolve a problem with the display of LOTW & eQSL Sent Date

This is a minor maintenance release that fixes a small problem with setting QSL Defaults when creating a new QSO in the ALE.

This is a maintenance release created to fix the following:

• options in the ALE not being saved
• comment field not printing on labels
• problems with days of the month less than 13 being swapped with month
• eQSL auto-upload wasn't saving "sent status" and "sent date"

This maintenance release addresses the following - QRZ log upload, speeds up label printing, adds additional fields in QSO Forwarding, adds option for "Pse/Tnx QSL" and closing message on QSL labels, ability to print image as background in QSL card printing, Logbook ALE retains the last tab opened, slash callsigns for B4 working, other bug fixes.

This maintenance release resolves issues with various old versions of Access, "too many client tasks", "provider not found" error with certain label printers, and much more.

This is a significant release. It resolves 100% of the defects in the backlog regarding label printing and it introduces new functionality. It improves the WSIs and enables stations worked "B4" to be skipped from WSI alarms. Improved support for non-Access databases. Much much more.

6.8.0.178 has been posted to our site. It resolves a case regarding the address field in an ADIF import causing problems in other fields. A long-standing issue where LOTW passwords had special characters in them has been solved (you may be asked to re-enter your password the first time due to new encryption added). There's actually a long list of things that have been tended that you can find in the release notes below.

This is a maintenance release aimed at fixing a number of recent problems. Fixes to support non-Access databases, save Selections, and right-click add to ALE in DM-780. Code was cleaned up to remove unused references & outdated code that refers to Windows XP and prior. Upgraded 3rd party libraries (Codejock, etc). Eliminated all known crash scenarios.

This is a maintenance release that contains fixes for long-standing Microsoft Access ODBC driver problems.

There are over 40 fixes in this maintenance release. Most of them are not related to HRD Alert (which had very few defects). But we do have a broad selection of fixes.

Fixes in this maintenance release include:

• More speed optimizations for QRZ XML lookup
• Elimination of the "all red" condition when using WSI row coloring
• Worked Bands and Modes columns corrected
• Some cases where Filters and Alarms didn't catch the WSI
• Contest incrementing serial number in both Logbook and DM-780 (brackets no longer required in STX field)
• Contest fields for STX, STX_STRING, SRX, and SRX_STRING are correct
• Contest-related tags in DM-780 macros corrected
• Potential extended support for Windows 7
• General improvements to Alarms & Filters for both DX Cluster and HRD Alert
• Setup now installs the proper version of Access and C++ Runtime; this reduces many odd problems through standardization
• Elimination of a few isolated reported crash scenarios

This release includes the new feature - HRD Alert. It also includes fixes for Selections, Solar Cycle Progression, LOTW members, and much more.

The performance improvements in DX Cluster leverage work done in support of HRD Alert.

This release includes 25% enhancements and 75% fixes as requested by our customers. The most significant enhancement is that new Worked Status Indicators (WSIs) are now available for Grid, State, CQ zone, ITU zone, and Continent. There are functional additions for the Yaesu FTDX101D/MP and FTDX10, the ICOM IC-705 and IC-9700, and the Kenwood TS-590. There are a few minor improvements to QSL labeling. The contest exchange now imports and exports correctly; contest exchange is now visible in the ALE contest tab. US County Award now properly includes and displays counties with hyphenated names. The Q65 and FSTW4 were added to the modes table and we now have a way to update the modes outside of software releases. There were a small handful of additional miscellaneous items.

Known items as of this release - FTDX-10:

• The S-meter is not functional in Tx mode
• The Tx and Rx Clarifier frequency can't yet be adjusted

This release focuses on several important things in two areas – label printing and Rig Control.

Label Printing

Work was done for both QSL and address labels. It is true that this has been a challenging item for many years. It appears that Windows had been resizing the labels and; because of this, the margins we loaded were being modified in some cases.

We sorted out the problem and made some major changes that enabled us to move the label definitions to an external file. Now they can be updated without building a software release. The “Reset Labels” function pulls down the latest definitions.

Finally, all Avery label types were tested – both Letter and A4 sizes. All the common Brother and Dymo label types were tested. We added support for the Brother P-touch label maker (18mm, 24mm, and 36mm). All the labels we tested look fantastic out-of-the-box. It should no longer be necessary to tinker with the dimensions to get great labels to print.

We have one open item with labels. When labels are printed that have more QSOs than will fit on a single label for a given call, the labels overflow the label. We will tend this in the next release.

With these issues resolved, we expect to add the ability to print labels in “ARRL Outgoing Bureau order.” This will enable the operator to select many QSOs for which to print labels and have them sorted before printing so that it is easy to send them to the bureau. We will also return the ability to print the QSO details right on your QSL card.

FTDX101D/MP

The changes rename the radio to “FTDX-101D-MP. This resolves the problem that prevented layouts from being saved. The RF power slider goes to 100 watts on the D model and 200 watts on the MP model. But the commands for the D and MP are identically the same. After installing this release, the previous rig connection will display as “unknown.” Simply remove and recreate the radio connection to the “FTDX-101D-MP”. We believe this also resolves the “tracking” issues that some operators had reported.

FTDX10

Initial support for the Yaesu FTDX10 is included in this release, however it has not been extensively tested. We will look for feedback on our community forums site.

All those who have purchased Ham Radio Deluxe at any time in the past should download and install this version to benefit from these improvements. You are entitled to them. Our clients who are covered by an active Software Maintenance and Support period are entitled to Feature Enhancements.

Here is what is included in this release:

Bulk Callsign Lookup – this feature will allow you to select multiple QSOs in your log and perform the callsign lookup function on them. You will be able to choose whether to fill only empty fields or fill all fields in the QSO. If your enabled lookup sources have data to fill those fields, it will do so automatically. This will be very helpful for those who import logs into HRD Logbook from other programs. This feature will be perpetually available to customers whose Software Maintenance and Support expiration date is beyond the release date for this release.

Additionally, the following improvements are available to all Ham Radio Deluxe customers:

• ICOM IC-705 added

• Google Earth Pro integrated to Logbook and Satellite Tracking

• Fixed issue that prevents activation keys from being deactivated

This release contains several important customer requests. The Yaesu FTDX101D/MP is added. The last QSL comment is gathered into callsign lookup. The IOTA data is updated.

This is a maintenance release that resolves a problem where properly formatted QSOs that use Submode (FT4, for example) were not being uploaded correctly to eQSL, HRDLog.net, ClubLog, and QRZ Logbook.

This completes the work for Submode and FT4.

This release contains two important changes.

One - this release provides for the addition of the Submode field. This enables FT4 QSOs to be correctly entered into Logbook, correctly uploaded into LOTW (or the like), and correctly matched when downloaded from LOTW (or the like). And two - it solves a problem where software activation keys cannot be deactivated on the machine from either the client or the web portal.

This release completes the work that began with 6.7.0.244. In general, the intent of this release is to resolve a number of long-standing customer complaints about callsign lookup (the QTH field was not correct and many fields were not being populated at all; sources like QRZ.com, HamQTH, QRZCQ, and HamCall all presented data differently and Logbook wasn't correctly parsing the data). This also solves a long-standing customer complaint where QSOs with stations that are not part of a DXCC country (like maritime mobile and aeronautical mobile) were being counted in DXCC awards totals. Some users reported a "Encountered and improper argument" error in DM-780; fixed.

Over 170 development requests were closed in this release cycle that began in early July 2019. In keeping with our 80/20 objective - 82% of the content was defect correction and 18% was enhancement requests. Significant changes include the following:

! NEW FEATURE ! Ham Radio Deluxe Panadapter Display is released in its initial phase. It was designed to work with compatible radios - ICOM IC-7300, IC-7610, IC-9700, and the Kenwood TS-890S. (NOTE: Compatible radios must have internal SDR commands that can produce data for software to consume. If you don’t see your radio listed here, the feature won’t work. This feature is available to customers whose Software Maintenance and Support expiration date is later than the feature’s release date.)
In Rig Control, two radios were added - ICOM IC-9700 and Kenwood TS-890S.

In Logbook, QSL label fonts can be adjusted, Brother and Dymo label printers supported, HamQTH returned to callsign lookup options, and the callsign lookup function underwent a complete rewrite. (NOTE: Please view the video on our YouTube page that explains the callsign lookup function - www.YouTube.com/HamRadioDeluxe.)

In DM-780, data controller errors eliminated and callsign lookup uses much of the changes made in Logbook.

The remaining changes span Satellite Tracking, HRD Rotator, software activation keys, general maintenance and performance improvements.

Minor fix to extra characters in the license manager dialog box.

This release is solely focused on migrating from our legacy license server to Soraco QLM. It is a foundational requirement of any changes we will make from this point forward.

There are 47 changes in this release. This version contains 26 fixes for the FTDX-1200, 7 fixes for QSL Label Printing, 2 URL cleanup items, 2 fixes for XML logbook backups, 2 fixes for the IC-910H, 1 fix for the FT-950, 1 fix for the FT-891, a fix for ICOM Testing, a fix for Alarms email username and password save, cleanup for Satellite Tracking, DX cluster, and Rig Control.

I've never been pleased with the way QSL label printing works in Ham Radio Deluxe Logbook. This release contains phase 1 of a revision to QSL label printing. In this fix, the text in QSL labels is automatically sized to fit properly into the labels for standard sized Avery label stock. There are more fixes we have planned for those who want to create their own QSL cards or print directly onto a blank space on a QSL card.

This is a small release to take action on a small handful of issues reported following the 6.5.0.196 release. This version corrects the Doppler shift for the uplink frequency, saves eQSL settings, corrects a couple awards reporting issues, and speeds up the launching of the great circle map in Rotator.

We've made some stop-gap improvements to the Rotator lat/long, azimuth and distance data in the ALE. This will enable operators with rotor controllers to direct their rotor with improved accuracy. To be clear, we're not done with this. There are a number of things that are related to the callsign lookup function that are not working as designed. It's our intention to revise this logic - which will include improving the quality of the beam heading and distance data and will resolve issues reported to us regarding the population of QTH.

In this release of Ham Radio Deluxe, there are 97 individual updates to the software (plus 4 duplicates). By application, there are 26 in Logbook, 33 in Rig Control, 23 in Rotator, 13 in Satellite Tracking, and 7 in other areas (DM-780, setup, etc).

We resolved the three issues that were reported with the 6.5.0.183 release - SAMCD error, installer doesn't complete and left HRD partially installed, and we restored the 3rd party serial port capability.

In Rig Control, there are updates for the Yaesu FT-875D, FT-891, FT-897, FT-920, FT-1000MP, FTDX-1200, and FTDX-3000; updates for the ICOM IC-7300, IC-7610, and IC-7700; and for the Kenwood TS-990.

In the Rotator application, we have validated changes for the Portable Rotation rotors (thanks, Will), Yaesu GS-232A/B, and HyGain DCU. We have unvalidated changes for the M2 rotor family (feedback from M2 users welcome).

In the Satellite Tracking, we've fixed about half the things in the bug list for this application. I'm excited to begin trying it out with life satellite QSOs.

In Logbook, we resolved a number of rig control issues where mode was not tracked when clicking on spots. You can now save column widths in the DX Cluster. More performance enhancements were completed.

We made a number of changes to enhance the security of Ham Radio Deluxe. We now conform to the direct connection specifications for QRZ XML lookups.

This is a minor maintenance release to fix a problem that prevented prospective customers from installing a 30 trial key.

The 6.4.0.902 release is the final release of 2018. The next release will be in January 2019.

This release includes fixes for - logbook refreshing automatically on ADIF import, frequency correction for N1MM integration, split operations with IC-7610, performance improvements, double entry of QTH with certain integrations, 30 day solar data updates, FTdx-5000 power on function, update for LOTW changes to security, and a number of crash scenarios gathered from the Microsoft dashboard.

This release resolves an issue some clients were having with the Logbook and DM-780 crashing in V6.4.0.888.

One fix is related to Logbook closing without being prompted. The other fix has to do with a change in the URL for hosted solar weather files which could have caused no data to be downloaded or an error.

This release dramatically improves the application integration with WSJT-X and N1MM. The "QSO Forwarding" feature has been improved to where it's extremely easy to setup Ham Radio Deluxe Logbook to receive QSOs directly from WSJT-X as-if they originated in DM-780.

This release fixes issues with saving the State and with DX cluster performance issues.

This release includes 24 bug fixes, 1 minor enhancement, and 3 code maintenance items. With automatic tracking of crash reports to Microsoft, one of these bug fixes resolves a significant portion of the approximately 2% of the Logbook crashes being reported. All existing customers are encouraged to download and install this release for improved stability.

Through the process of retesting items from the backlog, the following were found to be working or unable to replicate.

This is a maintenance release. It resolves issues that the 843 installer had with replacing the HRD Remote Service with the new one.

This release contains 60 public changes and eliminates 8% of the software development backlog. This change includes significant improvements to Icom CI-V commands, operability of the Kenwood TS-590, improvements to Logbook filter, QRZ lookup issues, HRDLog.net issues, IOTA importa/export problems, issues with PSK Reporter, updates to the country list, addition of Worked All Britain awards, all hyperlinks now open in the machine's default browser, elimination of crash scenarios, improvements in performance, and much more.

This is the first release of 2018. This release includes the addition of the Icom IC-7610, resolves a Logbook exit problem, resolves "sort on LOTW date", API for QSO Forwarding now populates Logbook with My Station data, a number of fixes for the Kenwood TS-480, applications remember screen position, enable CI-V address to be entered directly, and a number of stability enhancements.
